Nikki Sixx is the latest non-Guns N’ Roses member to say that the band is getting back together. The Motley Crue bassist joined Duff McKagan’s wife and Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver in saying that some form of the classic, long-estranged lineup is getting back together.
Sixx confirmed the reunion in a tweet to a fan. When he was asked if Guns N’ Roses should do a reunion tour, Sixx replied with: “THEY ARE. EVERYBODY KNOWS.”
We’re hopeful for a real, honest-to-goodness GNR reunion, but we are talking about the band behind the most infamously delayed album of all time. Still, there’s hope.
Slash has confirmed that he and Axl are on speaking terms after years of tossing bad juju in each other’s direction.
“It was probably way overdue, you know. But it’s… you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative… dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
Although in that same interview, he said he couldn’t confirm a reunion.
