Adam Sandler was at the center of the most-awesome Saturday Night Live reunion possible on Tuesday night. He brought the majority of the early ’90s male cast members out during his “Adam Sandler and Friends” tour stop in Seattle. With Tim Meadows, Rob Schneider, David Spade, and Norm Macdonald behind him, it’d be fair to expect them to rehash some famous bits. But the alums did something so much cooler. They covered The Who’s “My Generation” with help from a totally game Eddie Vedder.
Check out Vedder swooping in to save the day in the fan-shot video up top. (For what it’s worth, Spade does an honorable job of following up the Pearl Jam lead singer, inserting the appropriate stutters into his verse of 1965 single.) Presumably, there’s no hard feelings over Sandler’s “Opera Man” impression of Vedder.
After the show was over, Schneider tweeted out a photo of the cast and Vedder palling it up backstage. We all know that Sandler is very, very good to his friends, but it’s still nice to be reminded of it with photos like this.

As for Vedder, he’s made a habit of popping up in unexpected places. Last year, he took time out of his touring schedule to party with the Chicago Cubs during their ultimately unsuccessful playoff run.
