She might not have time for a summer fling while co-headlining her “Future Now” tour with Nick Jonas, but Demi Lovato certainly wasted no time in hammering out a sexy track about a romance in between stops on the road. The pop star just released her latest track, “Body Say,” and while it’s a tad slower than her 2015 jam “Cool for the Summer,” it’s far more seductive. The song gets right to the point with straightforward, racy lyrics like, “If my body had a say, I wouldn’t turn away / Touch, make love, taste you / If my body told the truth, baby I would do / Just what I want to.”
Lovato told fans via social media that she wrote and recorded the song a few weeks ago. “I wanted you guys to hear it right away…what’s the point in waiting anymore?” she tweeted, just days after shutting down and then immediately reactivating her account.

This whole “take charge” attitude has been Lovato’s signature in recent months — the songstress expresses herself passionately, whether it’s standing up for LGBT rights, promoting body positivity (in the past, the former Disney star suffered from an eating disorder) or speaking out about the stigmas of mental illness. It’s also clearly a defining characteristic when it comes to songs about her love life, too.
The song was co-written and produced by Sir Nolan and Simon Wilcox. Check it out below.
