Demi Lovato may strike you as someone who’s still a former Disney star shedding her past, but she’s honestly been making great pop records for more than a few years now. Her new song from her forthcoming fifth album, “Cool for the Summer,” has proven to be a howling and pulsing summer treat. But still, even with all the years of work put in, everyone is susceptible to rookie mistakes… like nearly cracking your face open while performing near a pool.

While singing the new track at KIIS-FM’s Pool Party in Los Angeles this weekend, the singer made a nearly lethal duo of mistakes: Trying to dance while in heels, and doing that while performing beside a pool. As you can imagine, this did not go well, and Demi absolutely faceplanted mid-performance. Luckily, she was OK and had a good sense of humor about it on Twitter.

Now Demi can join the proud company of Pitbull, Diddy and so many more who have totally eaten it while performing on stage. Not a bad brotherhood to join.
