“Young Once” by +/-
It’s been awhile since we’ve had to Google +/-‘s name, to make sure there aren’t any accidental semicolons in there. There’s not and they’re back, and a new album, Jumping the Tracks, means new music, including “Young Once,” a lovely, layered electronic-indie song that gradually builds and strips itself apart.
“Red Eyes” by the War on Drugs
Philly’s finest band named after political jargon popularized during Richard Nixon’s term as president also have a new album coming out soon. The fittingly titled “Red Eyes” is its first woozy single.
“Divas at the Disco” by Topaz James

“Sammy So-Sick” by Grass Is Green
Poor Sammy. Apparently, she’s so sick that she’s vomiting out Rainbow Skittles. In Boston, where the punky Grass Is Green hails from, that’s called “a Tuesday.”
“You’re So Dark” by Arctic Monkeys
This is the kind of song they’d listen to in cold Westeros nightclubs where daylight is illegal.
“Ain’t It a Sin” by Charles Bradley
Charles Bradley is a legend. But even if you’ve never heard of him, you’ll realize that’s true about seven seconds into the soulful, strutting “Ain’t It a Sin.” (Are all songs with “ain’t” in the title great?)
“Award of the Year Award” by You Blew It!
The only thing You Blew It! blew is not blowing this song. Let me try that again: the “Award of the Year Award” goes to the emo-leaning You Blew It! for blowing…something. Eh. Just listen to the damn song.
