Last weekend, the hair-band memories of the 1990s lit afire like a can of Rave hairspray when Scott Weiland casually mentioned how he heard Guns n’ Roses were getting the original lineup back together. Weiland, despite his inherent messiness, is still the former Velvet Revolver frontman who rubbed elbows on the tour bus with Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. Maybe Weiland dreamed up this information, or maybe he wanted to capitalize upon the lingering nostalgia factor associated with the Guns n’ Roses name.
However, Slash himself issued a non-denial in May when asked about the possibility of a reunion. He and Axl finally reconciled their friendship, which was promising news indeed. Weiland’s dropped nugget seemed like a natural progression, and now sh*t is starting to get real.
First, an unsubstantiated report from DishNation claims the band will get the original lineup together (in Portugal of all places), and an announcement is “days away.” In addition, Brandi Glanville (who is friends with Duff McKagan’s wife, Susan Holmes-McKagan), dropped an announcement while the two ladies were out on the town. At around the 1:40 mark in this video, Glanville chirped, “Guns n’ Roses is coming back, motherf*ckers!” Holmes did not correct Glanville but only exclaimed, “Whooooo!”
All of these reports could mean nothing, but… the official Guns N’ Roses Twitter account is dropping cryptic tweets:
What ever happened to no news is good news?

Of course today everyone is a jouranlist.
— Guns N' Roses (@gunsnroses) November 9, 2015
If only they could read lips…

Surely they'll read between the lines

One could easily assume that Axl — who micromanages everything associated with the Guns n’ Roses name — is the one tweeting. So, will we hear about a reunion soon? All of these rumors and hints have to pay off at some point.
