The Tony-award winning musical Hamilton has taken the world of pop culture by storm over the past year, something that most musicals can’t lay claim to. The popularity for the musical has transcended just the world of theater and found itself at the forefront of the music world as well as even wading into the waters of politics, even if just a little bit. That’s quite a few mountains for a musical about a dead president featuring a multicultural cast to tackle. But after Saturday night, the original cast of Hamilton will be saying goodbye.
According to EntertainmentWeekly, the original cast of Hamilton will have their final bows in New York on Saturday, making way for a new cast to carry the torch as Hamilton looks to conquer the country. In this new video released today the musical says goodbye to the original cast in a heartwarming way by showing the cast interacting with each other and all of their accomplishments together. The cast genuinely seem to enjoy being with each other and every victory for them feels like a team victory.
Hamilton star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Phillipa Soo are saying goodbye and this video is them taking their final bow, so-to-speak.
