When it comes to Bono, there’s always a good and a bad. The good: the U2 frontman hosted an auction at Sotheby’s on Saturday with all the proceeds going to Project (RED), his charity that benefits victims of AIDS in Africa. That’s better than good; it’s great. But the bad: at the after-party, he got a little plastered and destroyed “Get Lucky.” And not, like, the good use of the word “destroy,” either, but the intended meaning, as in Bono slowed the perfect song down to an imperfect tempo that not even the marvelous Nile Rodgers could save.
Also, the Edge wore a hat.
