The iPod Shuffle wearers who decide which musical trends and artists to nominate for and perform at the Grammys have once again spoken, and they have picked: a lineup that could be a whole lot worse. Remember, it’s the Grammys we’re talking about here, not the Golden Globes, who always award the deserving selectees.
Jack White, The Lumineers, and Carrie Underwood have been added to the list of Grammy performers. They’ll join previously announced acts like Mumford & Sons, Taylor Swift, fun., Rihanna, and The Black Keys. The Grammys also announced two collaborative performances: Ed Sheeran with Elton John and Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. (Via)
The Lumineers and Mumford will bring smiles to fans of twisty mustaches everywhere, while Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood serve as the ratings-grabbing headliners. (There’s an outside the Black Keys perform a new song, too.) It’s Jack White and Elton John I’m most looking forward to, though it’s a shame they’re not performing together. “Dirty Little Girl You Have No Faith In Medicine” is right there for the taking.
