When you’re a Kanye West fan, it’s all the way. There’s no dipping a toe in the pool; either you’re on board for all the greatness and the craziness, or you’re just not really messing with him. So, if you’re a disciple of Yeezus, you’ve definitely at least peeked at some of his clothing in conjunction with adidas. Now, some of it may look like future Star Wars attire, but you also can’t deny that Ye has a vision. And now, luckily for The Life Of Pablo fans, some of his wares will be available in more than 20 cities across the entire world this weekend.
From Aug. 18-21, cities around the globe will host Pablo pop-up stores that will be selling exclusive merchandise, including limited edition designs unique to the towns they are sold in. In the United States, some of the places these stores will be in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Portland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. While the prices aren’t listed yet, the press release does cite the previous Pablo temporary stores having “$45 tees and $95 hoodies” as well as “$400 thrift-store-sourced jackets emblazoned with Pablo graphics.” It also mentioned the tidbit that “many pieces continue to command five to seven times their original sale prices on eBay,” which runs counter to the idea Kanye previously offered that his clothing with adidas would be produced in enough quantity to prevent these kinds of hikes.
Regardless, if you’re a fan of Yeezy, it’s pretty much required that you bookmark his temporary stores site for locations and hours — some of which won’t be known until 24 hours before opening — and get in line immediately. Or you can catch him on his Saint Pablo tour, starting Aug. 25 in Indianapolis.
