Last year was a busy one for Kelis, what with the release of her Food album and the premiere of Saucy and Sweet, her Cooking Channel TV series. The R&B artist’s steered clear of the spotlight since then, but with good reason. She’s been preparing to cook for two: The 36-year-old “Milkshake” singer debuted a cute baby bump during her Afropunk Fest set in Brooklyn on Saturday.
The live appearance, her first in some time, saw her sporting a flowing pink dress and looking radiant as ever. It’s unclear who the father of the unborn child is, but the bundle of joy would mark Kelis’s second; she and ex-husband Nas have a six-year-old son together named Knight Jones. Along with a little one on the way, Kelis is expected to release her first cookbook, My Life on a Plate, on September 28th.
