I see a (very) little silhouetto of a fan, Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?
She might be a bit young to swoop into that previously vacated Freddie Mercury biopic role, but a diminutive diva by the name of Millie has captivated the internet with her unique brand of Queen vocal stylings. Captured by her parents rocking out in a cow print car seat (as budding recording artists are wont to do), this passionate toddler leans hard into the lyrics for the immortal “Bohemian Rhapsody” to the delight of her mom and pops and over 100,000 YouTube lookie-loos.
If you think she’d fit in with Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar in a combo performance, think again. She lets her parents know she’s strictly a solo act. Her cries of “No! No! No!” aren’t just reserved for the lyrics, they’re aimed at the grown-ups wanting to sing along. Millie’s sorted it out that she’s the star, so who can blame her for wanting to do things her way? Heck, fellow “Bohemian Rhapsody” cover vendor Kanye West would probably endorse Millie handling things in her own style. You’ve gotta respect artistry and listen to the kids, bro.
Just like Kanye’s take on the tune, your mileage may vary with Millie’s version. She’s going for bravado, which is the right way to go about honoring Mercury in our book. Maybe we’ll get a fake mustache and “Radio Ga Ga” next.
