Just over a year to the day that her now ex-husband Nick Cannon filed for divorce, elusive chanteuse Mariah Carey is ready to give marriage another shot, this time with Australian billionaire James Packer. The two have been an item since April 2015, after having met in 2014 and becoming quite taken with each other. Packer is said to have proposed to Carey with a 35 carat diamond ring, which… how big is that even? The size of an apple?

Over the past 10 months, the jet-setting pair has been on a whirlwind schedule of romantic dates spanning all over the world, from Ibiza to St. Bart’s to Italy and even to Packer’s homeland of Australia, where they rang in the New Year with his mom at the Melbourne Crown casino, which he owns. As she took to the stage, Mariah couldn’t help but gush about her love: “Spectacular, handsome … I don’t even have words for the man who introduced me tonight. We’ll just say the amazing Mr. James Packer.”
This will be the third marriage for both Packer and Carey, who was previously married to Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998 — so let’s hope the third time’s the charm. Their union should make for quite the Brady Bunch situation, as Carey is currently co-parenting her 4-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick Cannon, while James is the father to three children ranging in age from 3 to 7.
