Los Angeles’ legendary House of Blues Sunset saw its last performance on Monday night with the glam metal parody band Steel Panther, who’ve been a sort of house band at the venue since it opened in 1996. Their shows at the House of Blues have a reputation for drawing famous crowds and collaborators, and the venue’s final performance was no different, with Dane Cook, Ron Jeremy, Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, comedy duo Ninja Sex Party, and NSYNC’s Joey Fatone among the celebrities (we’re using that term loosely in reference to some of those names) in the crowd.
At one point, Steel Panther called upon two famous audience members to sing Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” Those two audience members just happened to be Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus. Apparently, Miley was reluctant to jump on stage (which is interesting because “reluctant” isn’t a word often applied to her), but obliged once the band got the crowd to chant “MILEY SING!”
The pair didn’t really contribute too much singing, only jumping in on the chorus because, let’s be real, that’s the part that everyone wants to hear. Billy Ray’s air guitar work was on point, though.
