Did you really enjoy the Weeknd and Nicki Minaj’s Saturday Night Live performance of “The Hills” last night? Well, you’re in luck — the song dropped late last night around the moment the performance ended, along with another version that features Eminem. That’s two for the price of one and they’re streaming online for you right now.
Both remixes have something to offer: Nicki’s comes complete with the sexy, druggy hedonism associated with The Weeknd’s music (“Remember that time I showed up with just panties under my coat,” is one of the standout verses the rapper offers), while Eminem’s spans everything from infidelity and late night booty calls to prescription drug abuse. Seems like all bases are pretty well covered here.
Although Eminem’s remix may come as a surprise, Nicki’s shouldn’t. She hinted a collaboration with the Weeknd a couple weeks back on Instagram, when she posted a picture of herself and the singer at New York Fashion Week with the caption, “Stay tuned.” And now that we’ve been given that collaboration, maybe we can expect some more stuff from them in the near future:
