Brace yourselves world, for we come bearing bad news. It seems that one of our most beloved couples has decided to take a step back from the institution of marriage and call it quits. No word on whether any bats having their heads bitten off played a role in the split.
Rock god Ozzy Osbourne and his wife of 33 years, Sharon are dunzo per E! News. The couple agreed that Ozzy, 67, would move out on a temporary basis even though he’s still clean and sober, according to the entertainment network. Sharon, who’s 63 and currently co-host of daytime talk show The Talk, will stay at their house.
The longtime wild man was tamed by Sharon, as documented in the hit MTV reality show The Osbournes, which aired from 2002 to 2005. They met back in the early ’70s when Ozzy was fronting seminal metal band Black Sabbath, then Sharon went on to become his manager when he opted for a solo career. The duo got hitched back in 1982 and had three kids — daughters Aimee and Kelly, and son Jack, the latter two of whom were co-stars on The Osbournes.
Ozzy’s long history with drugs and alcohol is relatively common knowledge, but E! News cites an “insider” who says he’s been sober for over three years. As TMZ notes, Sharon left him after a lapse back in 2013, but took him back after he received treatment. Whether or not the current split becomes permanent remains to be seen.
