Paramore just dropped their new album After Laughter, following a rapid-fire rollout that included the singles “Told You So” and “Hard Times.” To celebrate, the band played a hometown-ish set at Nashville’s Exit/In. In the middle of their set, Hayley Williams dropped her all-the-feelings shout for the disaffected hipster talk-singing of The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas and the rest of the band joined in for a faithful rendition of “Someday.”
Fans caught the moment and posted Williams’ bass-filled mumble for the rest of the world to hear. It’s a pretty great cover that’s worth a watch from as many angles as possible.
In addition to the new album, the band also recently shared that they’ll be hitting the open ocean for the third iteration of their Parahoy! cruise and music festival. The trip will go down from April 6 – 10, 2018, sailing from Miami to Nassau. While no guests have been announced — beyond the band themselves, who curate the fest — previous versions have included sets by Chvrches and Tegan & Sara. Pre-sale signups for the cruise began today over at the fest’s website.
