Brooklyn-based, Pavement-gone-punk band Parquet Courts released their raucous debut album Light Up Gold last year, but they didn’t make their network debut TV until last night, when they wore their finest sweaters on Fallon. It’s a big moment for them, one that’s well deserved, but a bigger moment for NBC: it’s about time they embrace the fact that the only people watching TV at 12:30 a.m. are “stoned and starving.”
