The music collaboration of the year is really happening, and now we have a video to prove it. No, we’re not talking about Nicki Minaj and Beyonce. We are, naturally, talking about the Game of Thrones musical helmed by Coldplay and the show’s Peter Dinklage.
Dinklage sings of Tyrion Lannister’s skill at escaping near-death, running down all the Thrones characters who have died before the half-man. It’s a pretty long list. If you’re not caught up on Game of Thrones, be prepared for some spoilers. It’s not the first time Coldplay has crossed over to Westeros, as their drummer Will Champion had a cameo as part of the band that performed at the Red Wedding, a marriage just slightly more ill-fated than the one between Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The musical is part of Red Nose Day, a comedy fundraiser that started in the UK and will come to the U.S. for the first time on May 21 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. Other Thrones castmembers, including Emilia Clarke and Kit Harrington, will also appear on the special.
But before that, here’s a GIF of a Peter Dinklage mic drop, because….Peter Dinklage mic drop.
