Pia Mia is back. It’s been almost seven months since she released her last single “On & On,” but the Guamanian singer/songwriter has returned, and she brought company. For her latest foray into the music world, Pia Mia linked up with Jeremih for a breezy new dance single titled “I’m A Fan.”
Produced by Remo the Hitmaker, the song tries to bottle that feeling of being a fan of a pop star and dancing in front of the mirror while their music plays. “I’m just here, need no one to interfere / God, I love how you keep that body fit / Got a cup, just in case you want a sip / I’m in love, I’m in love with your sin / Wanna hook up one more time, I can’t resist / Hit that one time, hit that one time / Be like, “Who’s is this?”
Jeremih isn’t the first Chicago-based artist of note that Pia Mia has worked with in her career. In 2014, the singer linked up with Chance The Rapper to record a loose track titled “Fight For You” that was ultimately included on the soundtrack to the film Divergent.
