Puddle Of Mudd lead singer Wes Scantlin is quickly becoming famous for more than just music. That’s an understatement, of course, as Scantlin had a major malfunction in February. This led to him pausing a concert to meltdown while accusing a fan of stealing his house. This bizarre display led the entire band to stalk offstage, and Scantlin sure has a strange way of loving his fans after one bailed him out of jail. That stint in the slammer was prompted by a bizarre joyride on an airport carousel.
Well, the first onstage meltdown quickly led to another. In March, the whole group stormed off stage once again to a chorus of Scantlin expletives. And yet the circus continues, with Scantlin finding himself behind bars. Again.
According to TMZ, Scantlin was arrested after concluding a Hermosa Beach, California show. This latest run-in with the law didn’t stem from anything he did during the actual concert — surprisingly enough — but because he skipped out on a court hearing for lingering vandalism charges. A bondsman and police politely waited for the show’s conclusion and cuffed the guy as he strode offstage. Since Scantlin thumbed his nose at justice by skipping a hearing, things are super serious, and bail has been set at $250,000. Ouch.
Here’s the arrest video, in case you’re in the mood for a trainwreck.
