Following in the drunken footsteps of Motörhead’s Bastards Lager and Smash Mouth’s Bread Brew, opera-rockers Queen are releasing a “Bohemian Rhapsody” beer to celebrate 40 years of mama killing a man. Billboard reports that the “golden hoppy” Queen Bohemian Lager will “carry an image from A Night at the Opera,” as well as the Freddie Mercury-designed Queen crest.
Brewed in Czech Republic (Bohemia, of course), the beverage will hit shelves in Europe this summer ahead of a planned worldwide rollout. A 12-pack of 330ml bottles are priced at £20 ($31) and a crate will cost £36 ($56). (Via)
This is exciting for Queen and Wayne’s World fans alike, but I’m still waiting for a beer label with the famous photo of Mercury on Darth Vader’s shoulders. I’d buy every bottle.
