What comes to mind when you think of Meat Loaf, Kings of Leon, and Robbie Williams? If you’re a Spotify user, it’s, evidently, a consensual, sweaty exchange of fluids, an act otherwise known as SEX. The music-streaming website recently “commissioned music psychologist Dr. Daniel Müllensiefen to investigate the important role music plays in the romantic endeavors of humans.” His findings: Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is THE song that’s better than sex, which is something I can totally get on board with (the build in that song is nothing short of orgasmic), followed by King of Leon’s “Sex on Fire,” Robbie Williams’ “Angels,” Meatloaf’s “Bat Out of Hell,” and Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer.” I guess the majority of Spotify users are middle-aged secretaries.
