IT’S BEEN AWHILE since we’ve checked in on Staind, but they’re still (other Staind song reference that I can’t think of because I only know one Staind song). This past weekend, they played a gig at Rockfest in Kansas City on a bill with Korn, Killswitch Engage, and Steel Panther, and during their set, frontman Aaron Lewis stopped singing “Something to Remind You” (there’s another one!) to call out the “f*cking assholes” who were “molesting” a crowdsurfing 15-year-old girl. Here’s what he said.
“Alright, listen up, you f*cking assh*les. That f*cking girl right there is, like, 15 f*cking years old and you f*cking pieces of sh*t are molesting her while she’s on the f*cking crowd. Your f*cking mothers should be ashamed of themselves, you pieces of sh*t. You should all be f*cking beaten down by everyone around you for being f*cking pieces of sh*t. If I f*cking see that sh*t again, I swear to God, I will point you out in the crowd and have everyone around you beat your f*cking ass.” (Via)
Crowdsurfing is a dangerous game. Not only do you have to worry about being dropped, music fans (and Iggy Azalea) have to be wary of perverts. It’s odd that THE DUDE FROM STAIND is the voice of reason, but here we are. Molesters, go so far away (yesss, got one more).
