This Beef Between Ted Nugent And David Crosby Was Inevitable

Given that Ted Nugent is a Confederate-flag wearing right-wing diehard, and David Crosby is a lifelong liberal who just wants to play music with his friends and cuddle his dog, it shouldn’t have been long before the two rockers (both political activists on very opposite ends of the spectrum) bumped heads. But Nugent and Crosby have only started beefing. On Friday, Nugent responded to a Twitter diss sent through The Croz’s handle calling him an “asshole.”

The whole saga started when Sarah Palin invited Nugent to dinner (this is going somewhere, I promise). With multiple plus ones to a visit with President Trump, Palin brought Detroit natives Nugent and Kid Rock to the White House, where they took a photo with Hillary Clinton’s portrait. The photo of such staunch conservatives posing with Trump’s nemesis, Clinton, quickly made the rounds on the internet, along with a photo of Nugent shaking hands with Trump. Crosby shared the latter pic, adding, “this picture says it all …the two most insincere smiles in history what a pair of assholes.” Zing!

Well, since then, Nugent has been interviewed by The New York Times and WABC Radio about the conversation and activities that went down at the White House that evening. In the interview with WABC, Nugent was asked about Crosby’s tweet, and he had a lot to say:

“Well I’ve always been attacked, and, you know, the hate from the dopers out there,” he said. “If you smoke enough dope, you just become overwhelmed with hate and ignorance.”

“And I’ll never forget when Paul McCartney condemned me for murdering innocent animals because we eat venison. And I just responded by saying, you know, I don’t really care what you eat, I’d just like to thank Paul McCartney for enriching our lives with his amazing music,” Nugent continued. “And the same with David Crosby, he’s kind of a lost soul, and he’s done so much substance abuse throughout his life that his logic meter is gone, his reasoning and his… his depth of understanding is pretty much gone, so it doesn’t surprise me, I feel quite sad for the guy.”

And news travels fast for Crosby, who hit back to those comments just hours later. “Nugent is a brainless twit ….I can out think him without even trying hard,” he wrote, along with retweeting another tweet that reads, “does Ted even know what weed does? Lol. Isn’t Ted the one waving guns on stage and screaming racist shit?”

The beef has since left off with Crosby having a Mariah Carey moment, asking his followers for a link to a Breitbart article about CNSY. Classic Croz!
