T.I. and Tiny Harris’ daughter Zonnique Pullins ran afoul of the law at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta Thursday night and ended up spending a few hours behind bars as a result.
Pullins, age 20, was jailed after she tried to carry a firearm through airport security. According to a police report obtained by NY Daily News, an x-ray machine flagged Pullins as she tried to pass through with a Ruger .380 semi-automatic pistol with a clip and five rounds in her purse.
Pullins reportedly told TSA authorities she had a permit to carry the weapon but was unable to produce proof. She was taken into custody around 10 p.m. Thursday and released from Clayton County jail around 2:09 a.m. on Friday morning, per Atlanta’s CBS 46. The weapon was claimed by the city of Atlanta.
Pullins, who is the rapper’s stepdaughter, was once a member of the R&B group OMG Girlz and performed under the name Miss Star.
In 2007, T.I. was arrested and later convicted on federal weapons charges after he tried to buy three machine guns and two silencers in a sting operation. He was sentenced to one year in prison, his sentence reduced after he accumulated over 1,000 hours of community service by talking to youth about the dangers of gangs and drugs as well as becoming an outspoken anti-violence advocate.
