So there is supposedly a bunch of controversy surrounding this photo of Willow Smith lying in bed with Moises Arias, mostly stemming from her being thirteen, he being twenty and the high amount of shirtlessness in the photo. A normal person probably wouldn’t think anything of it, but folks who follow the Smith family and care about their silly ass children are a different story. That’s probably why the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services is involved. From Huffington Post:
“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand,” a source told the website, adding that social workers will be speaking to Willow separately, as well as former Disney star Moises Arias, who was pictured with her in the photo.
Sounds reasonable to me. I mean it isn’t like they can just go out and find kids that need help. Don’t think Jada Pinkett Smith is taking this quietly though:
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old actress and matriarch of the family, brushed off the notion of any controversy after the photo of Willow sparked attention, telling TMZ’s cameramen:
“Here’s the deal: There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it and you’re acting like covert pedophiles, and that’s not cool.” (via)
I feel a lot better having read all about this and writing about it. Sort of like I’m doing a public service. Raising awareness on the stupidity of Will Smith’s kids, one post at a time. Too bad I feel pretty stupid myself at the same time.
