When Will Smith doesn’t have his creepy, wiener kids around, he can still be the same charming guy who everyone loved back in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air to Men in Black days. (I’m not gonna lie: when I was 10 and someone asked me if I could go to any concert in the world, who would it be, I answered “Big Willie Style.” Huge “Candy” fan, this guy.) Last night, the eager to please, but not overly desperate Smith of old appeared at Gabrielle Union’s 40th birthday party, and according to Ozone Magazine, he collaborated with Doug E. Fresh on “an impromptu freestyle and then performed ‘Summertime’ and the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.”
It’s pretty great.
Meanwhile, that same evening, DJ Jazzy Jeff listened to “Deep, Deep Trouble” from The Simpsons Sing the Blues for the 47th time that day, while holding a glass of cheap vodka with one hand and continuously clicking a record scratch soundboard on his computer with the other. It helps him get through the day.
