The time has never been hotter for lip synch wars. Civilians and celebrities alike have lit up the internet with their carefully executed battles. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s more than one ongoing civil war, and this one got pretty juicy.
For the past week, Hayley Atwell and her Agent Carter co-star, James D’Arcy, have been tirelessly battling across Dubsmash with the Agents of SHIELD cast. After several exhausting rounds, Captain America himself, Chris Evans, stepped in to save the world.
Things started off calmly when Team Carter posted an Oompa Loompa video:
Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennet jumped into the mix with their rendition of “It Takes Two”:
Team Carter clapped back with a gender-swapped version of the B-52’s “Love Shack”:
Team SHIELD held their own with this entry:
Team Carter replied with the goat version of Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble”:
The two teams stepped into the ring together for a messy performance of Swift’s “Bad Blood”:
An underwhelming followup from Team Carter threatened to sway the balance:
Since Team Carter dropped the ball, SHIELD jumped the gun wth Queen’s “We Are The Champions”:
Finally, Team Carter brought in the big guns. By “guns,” one can assume Chris Evans was in order. In the flesh.
Nice delivery from Evans. He’s pretty charming when he’s not laughing at “slut” jokes. With that low blow, it’s time for Cap and Peggy to enjoy their dance. Poor Jarvis.
