A Flaming Arrow Act Went Horribly, Horribly Wrong On ‘America’s Got Talent’

This season of America’s Got Talent is down to the quarter finals, which may be why this stunt duo, Ryan Stock and his fiancee AmberLynn, decided to pull out all the stops with two “brand new, dangerous, never before seen stunts.” They got to one of them, anyway, but unfortunately it did not go great!

Dressed in ’50s garb and in a ’50s-style setting with the song “Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows” playing, the couple first warmed up with Stock doing a bit of sword swallowing, first an actual curved sword and then an arrow — possibly a harbinger of what was to come.

You know he meant business, though, when he pulled a pair of safety glasses and mouth guard out of a drawer. And when the camera pans out, his lovely fiancee is now standing on an eight-foot-tall pink ladder with a crossbow in her hands. Stock then inserts a golden rod down his throat with a funnel shape on the end with a target printed on it, and… you know this isn’t going to end well. The official clip from the America’s Got Talent YouTube account cuts off juuuuust as the action happens, but some viewers watching made sure to capture the flaming aftermath.

Thankfully Stock was not seriously injured and was able to walk away from the stunt, but even he knows how lucky he was.
