As the political season heats up, the presidential election is going to be all but unavoidable, even in your little televisual safe spaces. Hell, even ESPN has agreed to air more political advertising during its NFL games this year, and if you’re like me, primetime NFL games are the only time you ever see commercials.
You’re so screwed.
Fortunately, it’s not all bad when Hollywood personalities get involved in the election. Oh, sure: No one wants to see Sean Penn wipe his smug all over your eyes, or even watch Matt Damon go butthurt apoplectic. But, when political advertising ALSO involves lesbian sex, well, we ALL win. Per Adweek:
Sarah Silverman’s latest piece of political theater/activism finds her offering to engage in sex play with mega-rich casino kingpin and rabid right-winger Sheldon Adelson if he agrees to donate $100 million to Barack Obama’s reelection bid, instead of using it to back Mitt Romney. Silverman stars in a NSFW clip produced by Barnacle Studios on behalf of the Jewish Council for Education and Research, the PAC behind her wildly popular pro-Obama “The Great Schlep” video from 2008, done by Droga5 (which won a Titanium Lion in Cannes in 2009).
Indeed, in the commercial, Silverman promises to wear a bikini and have scissor sex with Sheldon Adelson to fruition, or, in other words, “until [he] comes.” That would make Adelson “the only elderly billionaire on the block to have traditional lesbian sex through to climax with a girl who had her own show on Comedy Central.”
The commercial gets a little weird after Silverman uses a dog to demonstrate how scissoring works.
