Many Harry Potter alums have stuck with this whole acting thing beyond Hogwarts, popping up in quirky indie films and big budget Disney epics alike. However, none have made the jump into any superhero franchises, until now. Tom Felton, Draco Malfoy if you’re nasty, will be joining The CW’s The Flash in the fall as a series regular.

TV Line reports that Felton will be playing “Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation.” Whether or not Dorn will become an asset to the team at Star Labs or a thorn in Barry’s side remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see Felton without his trademark Slytherin sneer.

Season three of The Flash is sure to be a doozy, between the inclusion of the classic Flashpoint story arc and the mother of all superhero crossover episodes. With the drama caused by Earth 2, the season two finale left things in a state of disarray, so Felton’s involvement is just a drop in the bucket of what’s to come. No word yet on when he will be making his first appearance, but The Flash is set to return to The CW on Tuesday, October 4th.
