Watch This Clueless News Anchor Have Absolutely No Idea What A ‘Sphincter’ Is

ABC 7’s Leslie Sykes out of Los Angeles made an unfortunate slip-up when covering footage of a sword swallower. I believe the word she was looking for there is “diaphragm.” Fortunately — or unfortunately, however you want to look at it — her co-anchor does know the difference between a “diaphragm” and a “sphincter,” which was probably the reason why he covered his face for the rest of the segment. That had to be an awkward commercial break.
