Drones are a bit of a touchy subject at times, with them perhaps best known for their usage by the military as a modern tool of precise destruction, sometimes even at the whim of algorithms. Yet they’ve been readily available to consumers for some time now, which has led to some interesting uses for them beyond raining down vengeance upon one’s enemies. So while I’m sure that there are some people out there in the world trying to consider uses for drones that don’t scare us all half to death, these Finnish farmers had something else in mind.
Meet #KillerDrone, the flying chainsaw.
What’s crazy about attaching a chainsaw to a drone is that it actually has a lot of practical uses, especially if you actually use a chainsaw for something outside of scaring kids away from your lawn. These guys look to have practical uses for this; stuff like cutting hard-to-reach tree limbs, or even knocking down pesky icicles. Yet they opted to call this monstrosity of man’s ingenuity and machine #KillerDrone and to tear apart unsuspecting snowmen with it.
So yeah, while drones have an interesting future of potentially awesome uses, they can also have a chainsaw strapped to them and terrorize people. We live in marvelous times.
