Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine will play winning basketball one day. For now, the Minnesota Timberwolves will have to settle for growing pains mixed with highlights like these.

The rookie high-fliers each scored 20 points in their short-handed team’s overtime 95-92 win over the New York Knicks, albeit via very different means. Wiggins’ recent struggles continued versus the Knicks, as he struggled to finish all night long en route to 4-of-17 shooting. LaVine, on the other hand, played one of his best games of the season on Thursday – and even made the game-deciding free throws after being fouled on a fast break in the final seconds of overtime.
Just imagine when these two figure it out, though. Not only will highlights come fast and furious, but victories could, too.
