Steph Curry Converts The Four-Point Play En Route To Another Scintillating Performance

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Reigning MVP Steph Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a big lead over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night with five ridiculous three-pointers en route to 19 first-quarter points. One of those threes was this beautiful four-point play that gave the Dubs a 32-14 lead.

The Warriors were 15-of-20 (75 percent!!!) from downtown in the first half, and took a 75-57 lead into the break. Curry had 27 points through two quarters on 8-of-11 shooting from the field, including 7-of-9 from behind-the-arc, and added eight assists and two steals. Curry was clearly enjoying toying with his defenders, as on this play where he showed off the handles and the pump fake before draining yet another demoralizing three.

Curry’s Splash Brother extraordinaire Klay Thompson had a solid first half of his own as he added 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 50 percent from downtown for the Warriors. He was also a game-high plus-24.

Eric Bledsoe led the way for the Suns with 16 points on efficient 7-of-9 shooting from the floor and 2-of-3 from long-range. Brandon Knight chipped in 12 points and a pair of assists and shot 50 percent on his field goals, but was 0-of-3 from beyond the three-point line.

After such a scorching start, the Warriors, unsurprisingly, made easy work of the Suns in the game’s second half. Golden State connected on 22-of-28 triples and dished out 32 total assists en route to a 135-116 win over Phoenix.
