Did Zaza Pachulia inadvertently oil check on a rebound?

Boris Diaw posted a pic to his Instagram Sunday night, and it shows Mavericks center Pachulia in an uncompromising position with Diaw’s teammate, Patty Mills. The caption of Diaw’s post apologizes to Patty for what he experiences on the play and — rightfully, it seems — calls it a flagrant foul.

Sorry for what happened to you @balapat Definitly a flagrant foul!!!

Yeah, that doesn’t look great. Diaw and Patty are buddies, too, and obviously he’s going to stick up for his teammate here. Thankfully, Zaza just seems to have his hand in that area and hopefully didn’t curl his fingers at all after this screenshot was captured. We highly doubt even the most circumspect ref would have spotted the indiscretion in the flow of the game, so a flagrant foul is probably asking too much.

But based off the still image alone, we tend to agree with the cappuccino-sipping Spurs forward. Diaw, it seems, thought it was overt enough a flagrant should have been called.
