Kobe Bryant Has A Dog With A Harry Potter Name And It’s Probably The Most Mamba Thing Ever

Not that he wasn’t before, but Kobe Bryant is officially enjoying himself. With his farewell tour hitting the final stretch, he’s making the most of every moment, even when he’s not on the court. Bryant missed most of Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets with a sore shoulder, much to the disappointment of Denver fans hoping to see Kobe one final time. However, Kobe did make it a special night for four fans sitting behind him.

According to the Denver Post, Bryant gave the fans his autographed sneakers after the game for guessing his dog’s name.

“No, they earned them,” Bryant told the paper. “They wanted to know what the name of my pet dog was so I gave them a clue. I said ‘it’s in a (Harry) Potter film.’ So every time, they threw out like 15 names. The deal was if they got it, I’d give them my shoes. And they got it.”

For the record, Bryant’s dog’s name is Crucio, “one of three unforgivable curses that inflicts excruciating pain upon the receiver.” That might be the most Kobe thing ever, by the way, because there were times in the past in which he inflicted a lot of emotional pain on Nuggets fans. But, like many stops on his farewell tour, Denver showed a tremendous amount of appreciation for Bryant. At the end of the day, fans across basketball have a ton of respect for Bryant. As they should.
