Watch This Average Joe Recreate The Most Famous March Madness Moments

Among sports fans, there may be no more universal memory than going into your backyard (or driveway, or wherever) and recreating the moments that we see on television. Simulating the roar of the crowd with a distant hiss from the back of your throat with your eyes closed — we’ve all been there. Some of us never grow out of that — our imaginations are too strong, our sense of childlike wonder more acutely developed than all of the cynics out there. Samuel Healy could be one of those dreamers, recreating 13 of the most iconic last-second shots from March Madness at a playground.

Of course, Healy’s also an Internet creature like the rest of us, so he took a video of his recreations, spliced them around footage of the plays themselves, and set them to the iconic “One Shining Moment” theme song that CBS runs with its end-of-tournament highlight package every year. That’s the beauty of the Internet — no more do we need to simulate the crowd noise with our own mouths (though it still helps), we can put ourselves in the highlight (almost) for real and become the legends we already were in our minds. Keep living the dream, Sam.
