Golden State is too good to keep Milwaukee in the game on Thursday night, but that’s exactly what happened. They even gave up 35 fourth-quarter points to the NBA’s worst team while playing at Oracle Arena. But Stephen Curry, with an efficient 9-for-15 from the field, dropped 31 points in the 115-110 win. One of his buckets, though, was pure strength, not something most associate with the smaller Steph.

The play occurred during an important stretch of the fourth with the Bucks pushing the Dubs a lot harder than many expected. Steph was on point, though, literally and figuratively.

The Bucks had just cut the Warriors lead to single-digits with a little over four minutes remaining, and Curry had the ball in mini-transition with an amoeba-esque mass of Bucks crowding the lane. But Steph attacked anyway with a long stride into the paint. Khris Middleton hooked Steph’s dribbling hand to prevent his follow through on the drive, and Steph’s balance got thrown off with his head turning away from the bucket. Steph still bounced the ball off the glass by switching to his right hand, and it fell through — plus the foul.
