Jurassic World was just one of 2015’s massive hits that everybody could see coming. It made so much money at the box office that it broke records that will stand for years. But even though the 5th installment of dinosaurs running rampant on unsuspecting tourists and scientists was great on its own merits, its success had a lot to do with how many people loved the original film and the nostalgia that still stands for that adventure. Even the stars of the film made sure everyone knew that. So it’s not too much a shock that on the backs of that box office success, the movie that started it all will be coming back to theaters for a special engagement.

Thanks to Film Concerts Live, which has previously exploited everyone’s childhood to great effect with similar orchestral accompaniments of Home Alone, among other 90’s flicks, Jurassic Park will be returning to select theaters in November in full HD. As Rolling Stone tells it,

For Jurassic Park In Concert, the dinosaur blockbuster will project in full HD at concert halls across the globe while a full symphony orchestra provide a live feel to Williams’ score.

This makes even more sense if you consider that after more than two decades, the Jurassic Park theme song went back to number one on the Billboard charts after the release of Jurassic World.  A John Williams score never gets old or goes out of style, and seeing it performed live is a treat that many people will be champing at the bit to participate in.

The only question that remains is whether Jeff Goldblum’s laugh will be receiving the live music treatment as well or if we’ll just have to continue celebrating that scene with our own personal melodicas at home. NOBODY PUTS GOLDBLUM IN A CORNER.
