What Other Marvel Heroes Can We Expect To Show Up In The ‘Spider-Man’ Reboot?

News spread fast on Friday that Spider-Man could see a lot of friends in his first new film under the Marvel banner. Gone are the days of full Sony control, meaning the doors can swing both ways and allow Spider-Man a chance to play around with the other heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Nerdist, it was Kevin Feige planting the seed during a chat with Entertainment Weekly about Captain America: Civil War:

“He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth.”

So depending on who lives out of Civil War, any number of heroes could make an appearance. But who has the best chance?

Obviously Robert Downey Jr. is going to top any of the lists due to his unofficial status as the face of the Marvel movies. He’s also made a cameo in the first Incredible Hulk film, so anything is possible there. Just don’t expect The Hulk to show up unless we’re talking about Bruce Banner in a very non-Hulk form.

As for Captain America and the rest of the Avengers, we know that Anthony Mackie isn’t above a good cameo. Chris Evans oughta be good for one too, if he lives in Civil War. He could always follow the route of his comic counterpart and take a bullet at the end of the film.

Nick Fury and SHIELD would be the obvious guesses for an easy cameo, especially since Fury has already been in almost every Marvel film up to this point. The only ones I really wouldn’t hold out any hope for are anybody with hefty CGI to their character. There’s going to be enough of that floating around with Spider-Man himself. As for the Russo Brothers, they had an interesting choice for who they’d like to see:

“Let’s just say … Great Lakes Avengers.”

Hey, they did run that casting call for Squirrel Girl. She could easily show up with the rest of the GLA, possibly waiting for their reservation at Bubba Gump’s. Who would you like to see Spider-Man toy around with in his own solo movie?
