Here’s The First New Slayer Song In Five Years, ‘Implode’

When founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman died last year, there was little question about the future of Slayer: the band would keep doing what it does best, play loud music loudly. Last night at the Golden Gods Awards, the metal group performed their first new song in five years, “Implode,” which is now also available on their official website. Unfortunately, it’s not their best material — the production is a little thin, and the riffs border on unimaginative — but any Slayer is better than no Slayer.
