Ariana Grande No-Showed An Interview And The Host Absolutely Went Off

Just when we thought that Ariana Grande had mastered the art of the interview with her skillful shutdown of tired, sexist questions earlier this month, she botched one this week by not appearing at all. While in England promoting her forthcoming album, Moonlight, the singer was supposed to stop by the famed TV talk show, The Jonathan Ross Show. But according to the host, things did not go as planned, and he was not exactly happy about it.

“Ariana is in town. We were told she would be in the car at 6 p.m. to be here for 7 p.m., then it got to 7 p.m. and she was not in the car. 7.30 p.m., and she is still not in the motherf*cking car, so I don’t think we can hold out much hope… I don’t know what it is. We are going to give Ariana the benefit of the doubt and not say anything mean or judgmental. I apologize to anyone who might have come along hoping to see her. She was booked, but the lazy little f*cker has not come. Maybe she has gone to her first Nando’s.”

For what it’s worth, Peri-Peri Chicken has made me late to a number of occasions, but still, you don’t no-show an appearance without any sort of apology. To make up for the lack of a musical guest, earlier guests Joan Collins, Danny DeVito and Sheridan Smith performed a karaoke version of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” which anyone could enjoy.

Still, the next time you can’t make it to a TV appearance, learn from what Zachary Levi did on Conan, so they can at least have some fun with it.
