Bon Iver Stripped Down (Instrumentally) At AIR Studios

It seems only fitting that we kick off the week asking “Who the f*ck is Bonnie Bear?” and close things out with a twenty-five minute session that Cajun Boy tipped me off to (he just can’t quit us!) to help ease everyone into the weekend. Per Consequence of Sound:

“Recently, 4AD/Jagjaguwar collaborated on a unique online video session, featuring both Justin Vernon and S. Carey at London’s AIR Studios, where the two knocked out plenty of favorites from their discography over nearly 25 minutes. It’s an intensely intimate experience and listeners will be shocked to hear some of these songs in essentially skeleton form.”

Yeah, what they said. I’m not used to writing this much. If Justin Vernon’s soothing falsetto isn’t the thing to get you to happy hour I’ve got several images after the jump that I’ve wanted to share all week and could find no reason to. Now I have. See you guys on Monday.

No words. Just internet.

American Psycho x Lana Del Rey

Per Jake Fogelnest:

Patrick: Do you like Lana Del Rey?

Paul: She’s OK.

Patrick: Her early work Lizzy Grant was a little too bluesy for my tastes, but when Born to Die came out in ‘11, I think she really came into her own, commercially and artistically.
