Everyone has an unspoken number that gauges how much of Kanye West‘s ‘Ye-ness they can take. It ranges from 0 for the folks who were never going to listen to Kanye anyway, but still love to complain about him, all the way up to 100 for “Kanye To The” superfans. Reportedly, Kris Jenner has reached her limit with the TLOP rapper. According to those oh-so-reliable unnamed sources, Kanye West’s mother-in-law thinks Yeezy is hurting the Kardashian brand.
“His Twitter rants are out of control, and Kris fears that he’s taking the family down. Kris wants Kanye to hire someone to handle all the noise and drama so he can focus on being an artist,” the anonymous source told Page Six.
The past few weeks have seen Kanye involved in his fair share of controversy. He’s tweeted out a bunch of head-shakers, but none more questionable than “Bill Cosby Innocent.” He was the target of one of the most high-profile clapbacks my eyes have seen, and he was recorded losing his sh*t backstage at Saturday Night Live. However, another anonymous source contends that it’s all an act. That what’s hurting the Kardashian brand is Kanye’s brand.
“He’s a provocateur . . . somebody who stirs up the s - - t. He knows how to generate a lot of interest and curiosity . . . He’s an artist first and foremost . . . The whole Twitter persona is a part of his art.”
While a lot of the speculation is on the word of anonymous sources, it’s probably a safe assumption that the all-powerful momager subscribes to the old adage of “all publicity is good publicity.”
