Obama Dancing To ‘Hotline Bling’ Will Remind You How Much You’ll Miss Him

As President Barack Obama’s second and final term comes to a close, fans of the 44th president are starting to get a little nostalgic over the coolest eight years the White House has ever seen.

On Friday night, President and First Lady Obama hosted their final musical event, a collaboration with BET called “Love and Happiness.” The line up is further proof that the Obamas have the best friends, as Usher, The Roots, Janelle Monáe, De La Soul, Jill Scott, Yolanda Adams, Michelle Williams, and more all showed up for the final blowout in the Obama White House. While Obama may be in the senior year phase of his presidency, he made it clear that his exit will be a bittersweet one.

“We’ve had Bob Dylan and we’ve had Jennifer Hudson. Gloria Estefan and Los Lobos. Aretha, Patti, Smokey. I’ve had Paul McCartney singing ‘Michelle’ to Michelle and Stevie singing ‘Happy Birthday.’ We’ve had Buddy Guy and Mick Jagger getting me to sing ‘Sweet Home Chicago.’ So this has been one of our favorite traditions, and it’s with a little bit of bittersweetness that this is our final musical evening as president and first lady.”

Obama also highlighted the historical significance of these events, citing JFK’s rendition of the twist as “the twerking of their time.” However, the highlight of the evening had to be when our President broke out his Cool Dad dance moves for Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” Can’t he stick around for a third term?
