The announced the honorees are Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, Lil Kim and Missy Elliot. Missy Elliot, though, will be honored by a long list of people she’s influenced and some of her past collaborators, including Pharrell Williams and Timbaland.

“VH1 announced today that Missy Elliott will be honored for her work as an artist and writer/producer by a number of collaborators and artists she has influenced at VH1 HIP HOP HONORS: ALL HAIL THE QUEENS. In addition to releasing innovative and acclaimed music, Missy Elliott has become synonymous with groundbreaking music videos with the video for her most recent single, “WTF (Where They From),” racking up over 40 million views on YouTube. All six of Missy Elliott’s studio albums have been RIAA platinum certified or better, making her the only female rapper to have achieved this.”
