Rob Gronkowski Gave An Aggressive Lap Dance To A Fox Sports Reporter

Rob Gronkowski‘s Patriots were eliminated from the playoffs one game short of Super Bowl 50, which means that Gronk’s offseason has begun. If you remember anything about Gronk, it’s that his offseasons tend to be giant, party-filled affairs. And though the Super Bowl hasn’t even happened yet, Gronk’s clearly in mid-offseason form already.

Appearing as a guest on Jason Whitlock’s House Party By the Bay, which is a special show that Fox Sports One is putting on ahead of the big game, Gronk talked about his history as an accidental male stripper and demonstrated his lap dance skills on Fox reporter Julie Stewart-Binks.

She laughs as it happens, and while that can often be a defense mechanism for women in deeply uncomfortable situations, Stewart-Binks did ask for it on air. Whitlock thought it was hilarious, but even with the consent given, we’re not so sure.

In general, most people see Gronk as a lovable oaf whose party-boy shtick stays on the safe side of that aesthetic. The other side, of course, is that of the pervasive culture of entitled (and often predatory) male sexuality. Those beer pong tournaments and frat-house ragers that Gronk’s aesthetic lovingly evokes are the same sites where young women are all-too-often sexually assaulted. It’s just something worth keeping in mind the next time you see a guy thrusting his junk in a woman’s face.

With the woman’s consent it’s all great stuff, however, and Gronk’s done nothing to suggest that he’s ever done anything untoward. Either way, he should probably pace himself this year or he’ll be hungover until October.
