Over the holidays, Danger Guerrero wrote about the cheap and ubiquitous Education Connection ads, which include a cheerful young woman touting the benefits of “college in PJ’s.” One commenter wrote that the poor girl would have that on her acting reel for the rest of her career.
Actually, she doesn’t. The actress, Kelly Huddleston, has a demo reel that includes her roles as the prostitute who gave birth to Don Draper in the Season 3 premiere of “Mad Men” and one of John Lithgow’s victims in Season 4 of “Dexter” — but not her ground-breaking turn as College in PJs Girl. You can watch her reel here, although at six minutes it’s WAAAAYYYYY too long for for my attention-deficit-riddled brain.
There’s also a “local girl makes good” article about Huddleston, a native Washingtonian, in the Kitsap Sun that details how she’s gotten a consistent run of acting roles without having to wait tables or tend bar. So congratulations to her; I wish her continued success. But not so much that she can demand no-nudity clauses.
